I have some questions about the use of "for another" specifically, I wonder:

1) if we can start a new sentence with "for another" (and hence with capitalization of "f") after a full stop: For one thing, sentence A. For another, sentence B.

2) if we can use "for another" after many sentences. That is, after introducing and elaborating on the first reason with "For one thing", say I write 5-6 sentences for the first reason, with such a large gap in between, is it natural or acceptable to mention my second reason with "for another" as the starting phrase?

For one thing, sentence A. Sentence B. Sentence C. Sentence D. Sentence E. For another, ......

If you think the gap is too long, how many interval sentences are considered acceptable?

3) Can I say my first reason in one paragraph with "For one thing", then open another paragraph for the second reason with "For another"?

For one thing, ........................................
.....................................................................
.....................................................................
.....................................................................
(a line break)
For another, ..........................................
....................................................................
....................................................................

...................................................................

Beginning consecutive sentences with "For one thing" and "For another" is fine. However, I think they need to be consecutive, since "for another" refers back to "thing", so it is important that readers still have "for one thing" clearly in their mind when they read "for another".

    Well, understood.

But, cannot "for one thing" refer to reason A, "for another" refer to reason B. And the reasons are independent (of course they are both related to the subject sentence, but reason-wise, they can be different, unrelated reasons)?

I don't want to buy a car, for one thing, I don't have money; for another, there is no carpark nearby.

Ah, sorry, one more, can I just use "for one thing" without "for another"? Or they must go hand in hand? And can I mix it with other reason-introducing phrases?

For one thing, I don't have money. (and no more reasons)

For one thing, I don't have money; second, there is no car park nearby.

For one thing, I don't have money..............................(elaboration on reason A)............; second, there is no car park nearby..................(elaboration on reason B).....................

"Another" cannot exist on its own. Another what? It needs to be clear to readers what "another" refers to. In most situations, "another" is followed by the noun it modifies, in which case you can have as much separation as you like between "another [noun]" and the previous mention of the noun. However, you were specifically asking about "for one thing"/"for another", where the word "thing" is not repeated. In this situation, you cannot place "for another" very far away from "for one thing".

Yes, that is fine. It implies the existence of other things, but you don't need to say what any of the other things are.

You can, but the other phrase has to be able to stand on its own, which "second" does not (this, too, needs a noun to refer to). However, you could say something like "For one thing, I don't have any money. There also isn't a car park nearby".
